 Higher Technician in Systems and Networks

On completion of their training, systems and networks technicians will be able to take part in the commissioning and maintenance in operational condition of IT infrastructure. They will intervene effectively on systems and networks, on the hardware and software elements that make up the infrastructure in order to offer users, employees or customers the expected level of service and assistance.

He/she will be able to contribute to the development of users' skills in order to make better use of the software, terminals and collaborative tools that he/she will be responsible for synchronising.

He/she will be able to diagnose and resolve malfunctions relating to systems, networks and IP telephony and will be able to restore access to shared resources and applications. He/she will be able to maintain and operate an ActiveDirectory domain.

He will be able to administer the various environments of externally hosted services at the same time as keeping a technological and regulatory watch to provide new solutions, improvements.

Working for a cloud service provider, software publisher or hosting provider, you will be able to operate servers, commission them and put applications into production.

You will be able to work effectively as part of a team and be a reliable contact for partners, technical experts and suppliers.

Module 2 - Maintaining, operate and secure a centralised infrastructure

Maintaining and operating the local network and telephony - Securing Internet access - Maintaining and operating an ActiveDirectory domain and Windows servers - Maintaining and operating a Linux server - Maintaining and operating a virtualised environment

Module 3 - Maintain, operate a distributed infrastructure and contribute to its security

Configuration of deployment services and thin-client terminals - Automation of tasks using scripts - Maintaining and securing remote network access - Supervision of the infrastructure - Working in a Cloud Computing environment - Technology watch

  • Professional qualification from the Ministry of Labour Level 5 (BTS)
