 Plasterer vocational qualification

The plasterer works in all types of new buildings or buildings to be renovated to carry out the interior fitting of premises, using prefabricated elements made of dry materials in plasterboard and similar, including the treatment of joints and rework to manual plastering.

The aims of the training are to lead the professional to:

  • know how to organise their workstation and report to their manager on the progress of the site.
  • know how to construct ceilings, linings, partitions and set up constructive systems to ensure the airtightness, water vapour management, thermal and acoustic insulation of buildings.
  • know how to draw and lay out plans and create metal frameworks on which to fix plasterboard and similar materials
  • know how to use fixed scaffolding and assemble, use and dismantle rolling scaffolding
  • assure finishing work by grouting and rendering.
  • know how to comply with individual and collective health and safety rules.
  • know the principles of sustainable development and carry out selective sorting of waste according to category, generated by its activity.

Acquiring the two CCPs (Certificat de compétence professionnelle) gives access to the full professional qualification.

CCP 1 - Carry out interior fittings in plasterboard and similar

  • Receive, use fixed scaffolding and assemble, dismantle and know how to use rolling scaffolding
  • Deconstruct interior fittings
  • Implement thermal insulation in panels or rolls, airtightness and water vapour management systems
  • Make demountable and non-demountable suspended ceilings on framework
  • Make wall coverings and lining partitions in plasterboard and similar materials on framework
  • Make partitions in plasterboard and similar materials on framework incorporating various types of openings
  • Receive, use fixed scaffolding and assemble, dismantle and know how to use rolling scaffolding

CCP 2 - Perform joint treatment and plasterwork rework

  • Perform joint treatment on plasterboard and similar substrates
  • Perform manual plasterwork rework
Aspects relating to sustainable development are covered throughout the training: quantifying labour requirements according to the surfaces to be treated to avoid wastage, limiting water consumption and isolating washing water for subsequent treatment, ensuring waste is sorted and traceable to encourage recycling, using individual and collective protective equipment.

  • Professional qualification from the Ministry of Labour Level 3 (CAP)

Maximum total duration of 1607 hours, including 1187 hours on the job and 420 hours at the training centre.
The duration of the course is indicative and will be determined according to your profile.
