Acquire the qualification to develop the following professional skills:
As a health professional, the childcare assistant is authorised to provide early-learning and educational activities and to carry out hygiene and comfort care in order to preserve and restore continuity of life, the child's well-being and autonomy, within the framework of the nurse's own role and the specific acts defined as a priority for the nursery nurse, in collaboration and as part of a shared responsibility.
Three missions reflecting the specific nature of the profession are thus defined:
1. Accompany the child in activities of daily and social living;
2. Collaborate in the personalised care project within his/her field of expertise;
3. Contribute to risk prevention and interprofessional clinical reasoning.
BC01 - Accompanying and caring for the child in the activities of daily and social life
- Accompanying the child in the essential acts of daily and social life, personalising this accompaniment on the basis of an assessment of the child's personal and contextual situation and making any necessary readjustments.
- Develop and implement early-learning, leisure, educational and social support activities adapted to the child or group.
- Identify risk situations when accompanying the child and his/her entourage, implement appropriate preventive actions and evaluate them.
BC02 - Assessment of clinical condition and implementation of adapted care in collaboration
- Assess the clinical condition of a person at any age of life in order to adapt his/her care.
- Implement care adapted to the clinical condition of the child.
- Accompany the person in settling in and moving around by mobilising their resources and using preventive mobilisation techniques.
BC03 - Informing and supporting people and those around them, professionals and learners
- Establishing appropriate communication to inform and support the person and those around them.
- Informing and training peers, trainees and other professionals.
BC04 - Maintenance of the person's immediate environment and materials related to activities, taking into account the place and situations of intervention
- Use appropriate techniques for the maintenance of premises and equipment, taking into account the prevention of associated risks.
- Identify and deal with anomalies and malfunctions in connection with the maintenance of premises and equipment related to care activities.
BC05 - Multi-professional teamwork and processing of information related to care activities, quality/risk management
- Search for, process and transmit, whatever the communication tool and methods, relevant data to ensure the continuity and traceability of care and activities.
- Organise one's activity, cooperate within a multi-professional team and improve one's practice as part of a quality / risk management approach.

Apprenticeship training: Training is available within a minimum of 48 hours, subject to validation of your application and the position in the company (diploma compliance), until the end of the 1st month in which the action begins.

Work as a childcare assistant in various public or private employer structures in the health, social or medico-social field, in an institution or in home hospitalisation (maternity unit, hospital service, early childhood care structure, crèche, day nursery, at home...).
