At the end of their training, the professional, skilled worker will be able to:

- take part in the preparation and manufacture of exterior joinery (windows, shutters, blinds, etc.) and interior joinery (partitions, doors, cupboards, dressing rooms, counters) in wood and derived materials within the framework of a wide variety of orders.

- follow the manufacturing process for their work based on the technical file, joinery and fittings standards and the company's constraints.

- carry out all room fittings or layouts: offices, kitchens, bathrooms, shops, showrooms, etc.

- implement appropriate safety and prevention measures;

- carry out work using current joinery and fittings manufacturing techniques and processes.

The course is organised into several skill modules, enabling step-by-step progression. It alternates between theoretical input, practical exercises and assessment sessions to promote hands-on, progressive learning.

BC01 - Preparing for manufacture

Identify, decipher and interpret the design data for a structure or part of a structure
Analyse manufacturing constraints
Propose the most suitable materials and justify technical manufacturing solutions,
Produce a graphical representation of a technical solution
Draw up a material take-off and/or a parts list
Complete operating procedures or manufacturing processes
Manufacture a structure
Organise and secure one’s workspace
Check that materials, products and structures comply with specifications
Mark out and prepare parts for machining, assembly or finishing
Install and adjust tools, accessories and parts

BC02 - Manufacturing a finished product

Assemble the components of a finished product or item
Carry out finishing and treatment operations
Package and store finished products, materials and products
Maintain machinery and tools in good working order
Communicate with the company’s various partners

BC03 - French and History, Geography, and Moral and Civic Education

BC04 - Mathematics and Physics-Chemistry: adopting a scientific approach and mastering mathematical and scientific tools

BC05 - Physical Education and Sport

BC06 - Health and Environmental Prevention: prevention of occupational risks, health and environmental literacy, and the informed consumer.

BC07 - Modern Foreign Language

Throughout the course, learners receive personalised support with regular monitoring by the teaching team and progress reviews to tailor learning to each individual’s needs. A work placement also enables students to develop professional skills in a real-world setting. Skills are assessed progressively through role-plays, practical exercises, professional projects and assessments carried out throughout the course. Our teaching methodology prioritises a practical, work-focused approach: case studies, role-plays, practical scenarios and collaborative activities enable learning in conditions that closely mirror the real-world workplace.

Total maximum duration of 3,000 hours, including 2,200 hours on the job and 800 hours at the training centre.
The duration of the course is indicative and will be determined according to your profile.

Education Nationale certified teachers, Bac +3 trainers with significant experience in adult education, professional lecturers.

Assessments are organised throughout the course and at the end of the programme, in accordance with the qualification framework. Assessment tests may take the form of in-course assessments (CCF) and/or final examinations.

Support with exam preparation is provided throughout the course to help candidates succeed.

This qualification is awarded following validation by the academic examination board.

If a candidate fails the qualification, they retain credit for the modules they have passed and may retake the remaining examinations at a later date. The modules passed remain valid for 5 years
