BTS in water trades (updated 2023)

At the end of their training, holders of this BTS will be able to:

- ensure the technical management of installations and works, taking into account the overall effects on the environment (direct or indirect pollution) and the management of the corresponding by-products.

- participate in technical studies in various fields: environment, design and transformation of installations, research and development...

- take charge of network operation and organise maintenance operations

- manage a team in water treatment, distribution, sanitation and purification operations and in related activities in the environmental field.

- take part in a sustainable development dynamic by helping to ensure water quality, taking into account the use made of it, energy savings and environmental impact.

- to liaise with external partners: customers, partner companies, suppliers, government departments, etc.

- to adapt to technological developments applied to instrumentation, electromechanical equipment, automation and remote transmission and monitoring systems in order to carry out these tasks.

Skill block 1: Operation of treatment units and networks

- role of each piece of equipment in the installation

- operating status of the operation (supervision programmes, control procedures, technical data sheets, operating logbook)

- measurement and analysis of monitoring parameters

- supply of products and disposal of by-products and waste

- adaptation of control to operating mode

- maintenance operations

- performance criteria and associated objectives

Skill block 2: Quality safety environment

- regulatory, normative and territorial requirements, and their fields of application.

- the quality assurance system (SAQ)

- prevention of "health safety environment"

- areas for progress and actions contributing to the continuous improvement process.

Skill block 3: Professional relations and team management

- the players in the water sector

- control of the service according to the terms of a contract

- economic and organisational context of its structure

- preparation and conduct of meetings and individual interviews

Skill block 4: Design of treatment units and networks

- analysis of service requirements and formalisation

- choice of water treatment, collection, transport and distribution processes
