BTS Vehicle Maintenance - Option A Passenger cars

Acquire the skills to:

• Perform a complex diagnosis
• Perform complex maintenance and repair operations
• Organise maintenance and repair activities
• Manage customer relations

In a cross-disciplinary manner, the holder of the "Vehicle Maintenance" advanced technician's certificate mobilises:

• technical skills in different aspects of maintenance;
• organisational and management skills;
• information technology skills for communication purposes and the use of specialised software;
• internal (teamwork) and external (customer relations, technical assistance platform) communication skills;
• commercial skills.

The course is made up of Competency Blocks (CB)

BC01 - Systems analysis and performance monitoring

• Describe how a system works
• Identify the input/output quantities of a system
• Characterise the performance of a system

BC02 - Management of an intervention -. Customer relations

• Propose economically appropriate solutions
• Apply appropriate preventive measures
• Provide technical support to employees
• Apply customer service relations (including in English)

BC03 - Intervention on a vehicle

- Management of a service call - vehicle repair Intervention on vehicle

• Skills list Validate malfunction
• Estimate symptoms
• Determine faulty components
• Organise intervention
• Repair, adjust, parameterise
• Validate the quality of the work

BC04 - Knowledge of the company

• Manage the equipment required for work
• Plan and manage work
• Exchange with internal and external professionals

BC05 - Measurement and analysis

• Carry out measurements, tests
• Collect technical data

General teaching modules:  French-communication; Mathematics; Physics and chemistry; English

• Diploma from the Ministry of National Education and Youth Level 5 (BTS)
