BTS in medical biology analysis

The aim of this BTS is to train a senior technician to assist a biologist or laboratory manager in medical analysis laboratories.

• prepare solutions or reagents (culture media...), dose and use laboratory materials and equipment (optical equipment, microplate readers...) required for analyses.
• acquire a range of instrumental and technical technologies for carrying out various analyses: microbiological, haematological, immuno-haematological, cytological, biochemical, etc. on samples.
• prepare for the theoretical test for the certificate of competence in blood sampling

Professional courses:

• Biochemistry: structural biochemistry, enzymology, cell biology, molecular biology, metabolism, clinical biochemistry, instrumental analysis and immuno-analysis
• Microbiology: general bacteriology, systematic bacteriology, medical microbiology, virology, mycology, parasitology
• Haematology-Anatomopathology: blood and bone marrow cytology, haemopathy, haemostasis, immuno-haematology, histological, cytological and cytogenetic techniques
• Immunology: antigen and antibodies and mechanisms of immunity
• Preparation for the certificate of competence in blood sampling
• Knowledge of the professional environment: legislation, quality, employment law, health and safety, office automation and communication techniques

Apprenticeship: The course is accessible within a minimum of 48 hours, subject to validation of your application, the position in the company (diploma compliance) and the availability of places, until the end of the first month of the course.

The aim of the BTS is professional integration but, with a very good record, further study is possible in a professional degree (in the agri-food or pharmaceutical industries, for example), a general degree in biology or chemistry, or an ATS preparatory class.
