BP Made-to-measure clothing - Unfocused sewing option

The holder of the BP Bespoke Clothing - Fluted Sewing Option is able to:

• organise his/her work and implement all the means necessary for manufacture
• produce the model and the various stages of making a garment (developing the pattern, cutting the fabric, fitting, assembly)
• check that it conforms to the order
• assess the quality of the workmanship
• calculate the manufacturing costs, establish the final price
• communicate with his/her customers and suppliers and take part in promoting the company.

The training is structured around skill blocks (BC):

BC01 - Organisation of manufacturing

• Search for technological solutions
• Establish a provisional cost price for the product
• Establish a working method
• Choose and optimise the resources (material and human) contributing to manufacturing
• Calculate manufacturing costs
• Respect times, deadlines

BC02 - Search for technological solutions

• Exploit iconographic documentation
• Propose solutions to an aesthetic and technical problem
• Present a figure specifying the technical details of the model

BC03 - Developing a model

• Defining the model
• Building the model

BC04 - Managing and organising the running of an SME

• Assuring supplies
• Calculating manufacturing costs
• Respecting times, deadlines
• Establishing and maintaining relations
• Participating in training activities

BC05 - Presentation of a study

• Presenting a study on technological solutions
• Presenting the company's advertising communication or the promotion of a product

BC06 - Expression and knowledge of the world

• Produce and analyse speeches of various kinds
• Produce and analyse media using different languages
• Mobilise the culture acquired during training to produce and analyse these speeches and media
• Build a personal reflection based on the documents proposed during the test, coursework, reading and personal and professional experience

• Diploma from the Ministry of National Education and Youth Level 4 (Baccalauréat, BP, BT)

Hold a CAP MMVF (Métiers de la mode vêtement flou) or CAP MMVT ( Métiers de la mode vêtement tailleur) or a minimum of 3 years' professional experience in the field.
