Acquire the qualifications needed to become a highly qualified professional in the hairdressing field.

The holder of this BP Coiffure combines the dexterity of the hairdresser with the rigour of the manager.

He masters all the techniques of hair care, cutting, colouring or styling. They welcome customers, advise them and create personalised hairstyles.

They also take part in the administrative and financial management of the business. They sell and develop products or services, and may be required to manage staff.

The Hairdressing BP enables you to become a business leader, knowing how to manage, manage and train apprentices. It gives its holders the opportunity to move into supervisory positions (salon manager), consultancy or leadership.


The course is organised into several skill modules, allowing for step-by-step progression. It alternates between theoretical input, practical exercises and assessment sessions to encourage hands-on, progressive learning.

BC01 – Design, colour, cutting, styling

  • Managing products and equipment

BC04 - Men’s haircuts and facial hair maintenance (Option B)

  • Performing men’s haircuts
  • Designing and carrying out facial hair maintenance

BC05 - Sales and customer advice

  • Welcoming, advising and building customer loyalty
  • Developing sales of products and services
  • Assessing customer satisfaction

BC06 - Management and running of a hairdressing salon

  • Supervising and leading a team
  • Participating in the management of the salon
  • Assessing staff performance

BC07 - Applied arts in the profession

  • Designing a hairstyle based on a set of specifications

BC08 - French language skills and general knowledge

  • Producing and analysing written work and communication materials
  • Applying general and professional knowledge
  • Developing personal and reasoned reflection

Throughout the course, students receive personalised support with regular monitoring by the teaching team and progress reviews to tailor learning to each individual’s needs.

A work placement also enables learners to develop professional skills in a real-world setting.

Skills are assessed progressively through role-plays, practical exercises, professional assignments and assessments carried out throughout the course.

Our teaching methodology prioritises a practical, work-focused approach: case studies, role-plays, practical scenarios and collaborative activities enable learning in conditions that closely resemble the real working world.

Maximum total duration of 3,640 hours, including 2,840 hours in a company and 800 hours at the training centre.

Assessments are organised throughout the course and at the end of the programme, in accordance with the qualification framework. Assessment tests may take the form of in-course assessments (CCF) and/or final examinations.

Support with exam preparation is provided throughout the course to help candidates succeed.

This qualification is awarded following validation by the academic examination board.

If a candidate fails the qualification, they retain credit for the modules they have passed and may retake the remaining examinations at a later date. The modules passed remain valid for 5 years
