At the end of the course the trained professional will be able to:
- Manage the relationship with the client and/or all parties involved in the claim;
- Investigate the case in a specific legal and technical environment;
- Settle property and civil liability claims under conventions as under common law, in compliance with internal procedures;
- Negotiate with the insured or third-party victim throughout the management of the case with a view to a final agreement;
- Contribute to the completion of cross-disciplinary projects.
Skill block 1: Managing the relationship with the customer and/or third parties involved in the claim
- Welcoming and listening to the customer who comes to report a claim.
- Communicate about the handling of the claim with the insured victim and/or third parties involved.
Skill block 2: Instructing the case in a specific legal and technical environment
- Determining the level of assumption of the claim by the insurer and the investigative measures to be taken
- Assessing the potential overall cost of the claim
Skill block 3 : Settling the claim in compliance with internal procedures
- Negotiating and then settling the amount of compensation due in compliance with internal anti-money laundering procedures
- Exercising recourse against the party responsible for the claim or its insurer within the time limits imposed by law or the applicable interprofessional agreement.
- Handle customer claims as part of claims management or following settlement of the case.
- Analyse and process summonses or subpoenas
Skills block 4:Negotiate throughout the management of the file with a view to a transaction
- Negotiate with the client and/or the parties involved, the financial and strategic elements to reach a final "client" oriented solution while preserving the interests of the insurance company.
- Manage potential conflict situations with the insured and/or third parties involved.
- Propose an insurance solution to address any shortcomings detected during the management of the claim.
Skill block 5: Contributing to the implementation of cross-functional projects
- Contributing to the development of specifications in his/her field of activity in order to provide his/her expertise as part of a company project.
- Working in a multidisciplinary team as a contributor to achieve a common objective
