The DRAFPIC (Direction Régionale Académique de la Formation Professionnelle Initiale, Continue et de l'apprentissage) is a department of the rectorate which leads and coordinates the activities of the GRETAs and GRETA-CFAs.

At the head of this department, the Regional Academic Director of Initial and Continuing Vocational Training and Apprenticeships is the Rector's technical adviser who:

• defines the academic strategy for the development of GRETAs and GRETA-CFAs, based on national and regional objectives, and supports its implementation
• signs a contract of objectives with each GRETA and GRETA-CFA support establishment
• has a right of control over decisions taken locally
  

The Regional Academic Director of Initial and Continuing Vocational Training and Apprenticeships (DRAFPIC) represents the Rector in discussions with all regional partners, in particular local authorities and the DREETS, to define the main regional policy guidelines. It facilitates relations between the GRETA and GRETA-CFA network and the region's public-sector partners, as well as with approved joint collection bodies and major regional companies.

The DRAFPIC team is made up of vocational training advisers who carry out cross-cutting missions for GRETAs and GRETA-CFAs: human resources management, educational and digital engineering, communication and development of partnership relations, management of the information system, management control, coordination of working groups by profession, etc.
