 Higher Technician in Systems and Networks

On completion of their training, systems and networks technicians will be able to take part in the commissioning and maintenance in operational condition of IT infrastructure. They will intervene effectively on systems and networks, on the hardware and software elements that make up the infrastructure in order to offer users, employees or customers the expected level of service and assistance.

He will be able to contribute to the development of users' skills for better use of the software, terminals and collaborative tools that he will be responsible for synchronising.

He will be able to diagnose and resolve malfunctions relating to systems, networks and IP telephony and will be able to restore access to shared resources and applications.

He will be able to administer the various environments of externally hosted services at the same time as keeping a technological and regulatory watch to provide new solutions and improvements.

Working for a cloud service provider, software publisher or hosting provider, you will be able to operate servers, commission them and put applications into production.

You will be able to work effectively as part of a team and be a reliable contact for partners, technical experts and suppliers.


The training is organised into several skill modules, enabling step-by-step progression. It alternates between theoretical input, practical exercises and assessment sessions in order to promote practical and progressive learning.

BC01 - Operating infrastructure components and providing user support

Providing user support at the service centre

Operating Windows servers and an Active Directory domain

Operating Linux servers
Operating an IP network

BC02 - Maintain the infrastructure and contribute to its development and security

Maintain servers within a virtualised infrastructure
Automate tasks using scripts
Maintain and secure internet access and network interconnections
Set up, maintain and test backups and restores of infrastructure components
Operating and maintaining workstation deployment services

Examination session

Throughout the programme, learners receive personalised support with regular monitoring by the teaching team and progress reviews to tailor the learning to each individual’s needs.

A work placement also enables learners to develop professional skills in a real-world setting.

Skills are assessed progressively through role-plays, practical exercises, professional projects and assessments carried out throughout the course.

Our teaching methodology prioritises a practical, work-focused approach: case studies, role-plays, practical scenarios and collaborative activities enable learning in conditions that closely resemble the real-world workplace.

Trainers with 3 years' higher education and significant experience in adult training, professional lecturers.


For this professional qualification, ongoing assessments (ECF) are organised throughout the course to evaluate the candidate’s progress and their mastery of professional skills.

The final examination takes place before a two-member examination panel comprising professionals from the sector. It comprises a professional role-play and an interview based on the professional portfolio (DP), which highlights the experience and skills developed by the candidate.

The final examination takes place within two months of the end of the training course.

The examination panel validates all or part of the Professional Qualification. In the event of partial validation, the professional competence certificates (CCP) (or competence modules) obtained are valid for a period of five years.

The candidate may subsequently complete the missing modules to obtain the Professional Qualification in its entirety.
