    Be able to intervene indiscriminately, under the control of his/her hierarchy, in all areas covered by the building works activity: structure, interior and exterior fittings.

    Be able to use different metals: steel, aluminium, stainless steel, brass, profiled, rolled and sheet to work on different families of structures:

    - metalwork: railings, armouring, fences, gates, sunbreakers, metal curtains, shutters, blinds, stairs, awnings, ...

    - metal construction: frameworks, canopies, footbridges, large glass roofs, ...

    - metal joinery: glazed facades, conservatories, cladding, ...

    - decorative fittings: street furniture, ironwork, railings, interior furniture, ...

    Exercising its activities in compliance with energy and environmental regulatory requirements and safety requirements.

    To engage in teamwork to bring a site to life in collaboration with different trades.

    To monitor and report to his/her line manager on the tasks assigned to him/her.


    The course is organised into several skill modules, allowing for step-by-step progression. It alternates between theoretical input, practical exercises and assessment sessions to promote practical and progressive learning.

    PROFESSIONAL AREAS

    BC01 - Planning and preparing a project

    • Completing and submitting documents
    • Interpreting a technical dossier
    • Selecting materials and tools

    BC02 - Carrying out and implementing a routine project

    • Determining quantities of materials and components
    • Organising one’s workstation and ensuring safety during the project
    • Using scaffolding
    • Producing a simple sketch or template
    • Carrying out cutting, machining, shaping, assembly and finishing operations
    • Preparing and packaging the work, and storage
    • Carry out dismantling and installation
    • Inspect the work carried out

    BC03 - Carrying out specific tasks

    • Communicate and report verbally
    • Work in the vicinity of utility networks (pipelines, electrical networks, etc.)
    • Carry out preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment (basic level)
    • Carry out troubleshooting or repair work on structures
    • Check the conformity of supports
    • Prepare the structure for handover

    Throughout the programme, learners receive personalised support with regular monitoring by the teaching team and progress reviews to tailor learning to each individual’s needs.

    A work placement also enables students to develop professional skills in a real-world setting.

    Skills are assessed progressively through role-plays, practical exercises, professional projects and assessments carried out throughout the course.

    Our teaching methodology prioritises a practical, work-focused approach: case studies, role-plays, practical scenarios and collaborative activities enable learners to learn in conditions that closely resemble the real working world.


    • Diploma from the Ministry of National Education and Youth Level 3

    Total maximum duration of 1,290 hours, including 490 hours in a company and 800 hours at the training centre.
    The duration of the course is indicative and will be determined according to your profile.

    Education Nationale certified teachers, Bac +3 trainers with significant experience in adult education, professional lecturers.


    Assessments are organised throughout the course and at the end of the programme, in accordance with the qualification framework. Assessment tests may take the form of in-course assessments (CCF) and/or final examinations.

    Support with exam preparation is provided throughout the course to help candidates succeed.

    This qualification is awarded following validation by the academic examination board.

    If a candidate fails the qualification, they retain credit for the modules they have passed and may retake the remaining examinations at a later date. The modules passed remain valid for 5 years
