 BTS MOS - Operational Security Management

Holders of the BTS in Operational Security Management carry out their duties in the field of security and safety. They carry out their activities either in a security/safety company or in the internal security department of an organisation (company, public and private administration, association.


The main objectives of the course are to equip the professional with the skills needed to organise safety and security activities:

  • Implementation of a regulatory and technological watch
  • Preparation of a security service
  • Proposal of the service in compliance with a quality approach, traceability and data protection
  • Organising the service
  • Managing staff and social relations
  • Preparing the commercial offer
  • Managing the service
  • Monitoring and maintaining customer relations
  • Risk prevention in relation to institutional partners
  • Incident, accident, event and crisis management with institutional partners

The course is organised into several skill modules, enabling step-by-step progression. It alternates between theoretical input, practical exercises and assessment sessions to promote hands-on, progressive learning.

Vocational modules:

BC01 – Preparing and delivering a security service

  • Monitor regulatory and technological developments
  • Prepare a security service
  • Deliver a service in accordance with quality, traceability and data protection standards

BC02 - Manage human resources

  • Organise the department
  • Manage staff
  • Manage industrial relations

BC03 - Manage customer relations

  • Prepare the commercial proposal
  • Manage the service
  • Maintain and sustain customer relations

BC04 - Contributing to overall safety

  • Preventing risks in collaboration with institutional partners
  • Managing incidents, accidents, events and crises with institutional partners

General subjects:

  • General knowledge and communication skills
  • Modern foreign language
  • Economic and legal knowledge 

Throughout the programme, learners receive personalised support with regular monitoring by the teaching team and progress reviews to tailor learning to individual needs.

A work placement also enables students to develop professional skills in a real-world setting.

Skills are assessed progressively through role-plays, practical exercises, professional projects and assessments carried out throughout the course.

Our teaching methodology prioritises a practical, work-focused approach: case studies, role-plays, practical scenarios and collaborative activities enable learning in conditions that closely resemble the real-world workplace.

Maximum total duration of 3,650 hours, including 2,500 hours on the job and 1,150 hours at the training centre.
The duration of the course is indicative and will be determined according to your profile.

The candidate must hold a level IV diploma ( Bac, BP).

Clean criminal record.

Have an appetite for security technologies, particularly digital, as well as legal issues, have interpersonal skills specific to customer relations and team management.

Assessments are organised throughout the course and at the end of the programme, in accordance with the qualification framework. Assessment tests may take the form of in-course assessments (CCF) and/or final examinations.

Support with exam preparation is provided throughout the course to help candidates succeed.

This qualification is awarded following validation by the academic examination board.

If a candidate fails the qualification, they retain credit for the modules they have passed and may retake the remaining examinations at a later date. The modules passed remain valid for 5 years

In the context of initial integration, the course provides access to the professions of sector manager, site manager, remote surveillance or video protection team leader, operations assistant, operations manager, business manager/customer manager, site coordinator, supervisor (airport), site controller, quality controller, etc.

Exercise in companies engaged in private security activities,internal security departments of large companies (supermarkets, industrial sites, tourist sites, tertiary sites),security departments of public administrations, hospitals, local authorities...

These apprenticeship contract places are integrated into a class that comes under initial training (made up of pupils with school status) and are subject to enrolment at the lycée.

The training is accessible as an apprenticeship from the second year of the diploma and after at least a first year as a pupil at the school.

First training session, we do not have Quality indicators.
