The BTS Vehicle Maintenance Option C provides access to jobs in motorbike after-sales.

The holder of this diploma is able to:

  • Perform a diagnosis, complex maintenance and repair operations independently, in the workshop, and possibly in liaison with the customer, the technical platform and service providers, the spare parts department.
  • Organising the maintenance and repair workshop
  • Managing customer relations in the reception area, on the telephone and in the vehicle return area.
  • Complying with both technical and environmental regulations.
  • Providing a high-quality after-sales service.

The course is organised into several skill modules, enabling step-by-step progression. It alternates between theoretical input, practical application and assessment sessions to promote hands-on, progressive learning.

Vocational training:

BC01 – Analysing systems and monitoring performance

  • Describe how a system works;
  • Identify a system’s input and output variables;
  • Characterise a system’s performance.

BC02 – Managing a service call: Customer relations

  • Propose cost-effective solutions;
  • Apply appropriate preventive measures;
  • Provide technical support to staff;
  • Apply customer service principles (including in English).

BC03 – Vehicle servicing

  • Propose cost-effective solutions;
  • Apply appropriate preventative measures;
  • Provide technical support to staff;
  • Apply customer service procedures (including in English)*.
  • Confirm the fault;
  • Formulate hypotheses based on the symptoms;
  • Identify the faulty components;
  • Organise the repair;
  • Restore compliance, adjust and configure;
  • Verify the quality of the repair.

BC04 – Knowledge of the organisation

  • Manage the equipment required for repairs;
  • Plan and manage repairs;
  • Liaise with internal and external professionals.

BC05 – Measurements and analysis

  • Carry out measurements and tests;
  • Collect technical data;

General education:

  • General knowledge and communication

Throughout the course, students receive personalised support with regular monitoring by the teaching team and progress reviews to tailor learning to each individual’s needs.

A work placement also enables students to develop professional skills in a real-world setting.

Skills are assessed progressively through role-plays, practical exercises, professional projects and assessments carried out throughout the course.

Our teaching methodology prioritises a practical, work-focused approach: case studies, role-plays, practical scenarios and collaborative activities enable learning in conditions that closely resemble the real-world workplace.

Maximum total duration of 3,650 hours, including 2,300 hours in a company and 1,350 hours at the training centre.

Technological baccalaureate (STI) or general scientific or vocational baccalaureate (MVA) or level IV and 3 years' professional experience.

    The training takes place in person at the centre, which provides the ideal setting for building group dynamics, encouraging interactive discussions between trainees and making use of professional equipment.

Education Nationale certified teachers, Bac +3 trainers with significant experience in adult education, professional lecturers.


Assessments are organised throughout the course and at the end of the programme, in accordance with the qualification framework. Assessment tests may take the form of in-course assessments (CCF) and/or final examinations.

Support with exam preparation is provided throughout the course to help candidates succeed.

This qualification is awarded following validation by the academic examination board.

If a candidate fails the qualification, they retain credit for the modules they have passed and may retake the remaining examinations at a later date. The modules passed remain valid for 5 years

Apprenticeship training: Training is available within a minimum of 48 hours, subject to validation of your application and the position in the company (diploma compliance), until the end of the 1st month of the course.
