In a cross-disciplinary manner, the holder of the "Vehicle Maintenance" advanced technician's certificate mobilises:

• technical skills in different aspects of maintenance;
• organisational and management skills;
• information technology skills for communication purposes and the use of specialised software;
• internal (teamwork) and external (customer relations, technical assistance platform) communication skills;
• commercial skills.

The course is organised into several skill modules, enabling step-by-step progression. It alternates between theoretical input, practical exercises and assessment sessions to promote hands-on, progressive learning.

BC01 - Systems analysis and performance monitoring

• Describe how a system works
• Identify a system’s input and output variables
• Characterise a system’s performance

BC02 - Managing a service call – Customer relations

• Propose cost-effective solutions
• Apply appropriate preventative measures
• Provide technical support to staff
• Apply customer service principles (including in English)

BC03 - Vehicle servicing

• List of skills: Confirm the fault
• Formulate hypotheses based on the symptoms
• Identify the faulty components
• Organise the service
• Restore compliance, adjust and configure
• Verify the quality of the repair

BC04 - Knowledge of the company

• Managing the equipment required for repairs
• Planning and managing repairs
• Liaising with internal and external professionals

BC05 - Measurements and analysis

• Carry out measurements and tests
• Collect technical data

General education modules: French and communication; Mathematics; Physics and chemistry; English

Throughout the course, learners receive personalised support with regular monitoring by the teaching team and progress reviews to tailor learning to each individual’s needs.

A work placement also enables students to develop professional skills in a real-world setting.

Skills are assessed progressively through role-plays, practical exercises, professional projects and assessments carried out throughout the course.

Our teaching methodology prioritises a practical, work-focused approach: case studies, role-plays, practical scenarios and collaborative activities enable learners to learn in conditions that closely resemble the real working world.

The BTS Maintenance des véhicules option B véhicules de transport routier is open to anyone with a baccalauréat: bac professionnel de la maintenance et de la réparation, bac STI2D. Access is based on a portfolio, tests and/or interview.

• Fully classroom-based training

The training takes place in person at the centre, which provides the ideal setting for building group dynamics, encouraging interactive discussions between trainees and making use of professional equipment.

EN-certified teachers, Bac +3 trainers with significant experience in adult education, professional lecturers

Assessments are organised throughout the course and at the end of the programme, in accordance with the qualification framework. Assessment tests may take the form of in-course assessments (CCF) and/or final examinations.

Support with exam preparation is provided throughout the course to help candidates succeed.

This qualification is awarded following validation by the academic examination board.

If a candidate fails the qualification, they retain credit for the modules they have passed and may retake the remaining examinations at a later date. The modules passed remain valid for 5 years

Apprenticeship training: The training can be accessed within a minimum of 48 hours subject to validation of your application and the position in the company (diploma compliance) until the end of the 1st month of the start of the course.

It is possible to go on to a professional degree in the industrial production or maintenance sectors, an ATS preparatory class to enter an engineering school or a professional school for automotive network business (EPCRA).
