BTS Design and production of automatic systems

At the end of their training, the "Automatic Systems Design and Production" Advanced Technician will be able to intervene in the various stages and operations relating to the technical life of a system, from its design to its continuous improvement in a highly constrained and controlled regulatory and standards context.

They will operate effectively on projects or technical interventions to carry out team work independently. He/she will be able to integrate commercial, economic, sustainable development and energy consumption components.

In contact with customers, users and company departments, he/she will be able to apply interpersonal and communication skills.

General education programme:

General Culture and Expression: information retrieval, reading, comprehension, analysis and synthesis, and drafting of communication documents.

Modern Foreign Language - English: written and oral comprehension, written and oral expression, oral interaction

Mathematics: Analysis, statistics and probability, general mathematics

Applied physical and chemical sciences: Energy, Electrical energy, solids and fluids in motion, linear systems, signal acquisition, processing and transmission.

Vocational training pathway:

BC01 - Preliminary design of an automated system 

Selecting and justifying a technical process and procedure
Organising operational functions to propose a functional architecture, comparing architectures.
Define and organise functional chains, technical functions and associated technologies
Assess costs and timelines, estimate a budget, draft a commercial proposal 

BC02 - Detailed design of a functional chain 

Determine the dimensions of and select the components for a functional chain

Define the functional chain and its behaviour; verify its performance through simulation

BC03 - Detailed design of an automated system 

Define a solution enabling the integration and operation of functional lines

Define the integration components of the functional lines

Formalise, then verify via simulation the spatial and temporal behaviour of an automated system

BC04 - Involvement within a company 

Research, analyse, organise and summarise information

Draft and produce a document

Communicate with a contact using appropriate methods

Interpret a set of specifications and reformulate a requirement

Analyse an existing system and propose improvements

BC05 – Project management and implementation 

Organising a working meeting

Presenting individual or team work and sharing expertise

Drawing up all or part of the implementation documentation, test documentation and system documentation to be submitted to the client.

Develop, test and integrate all or part of an automated system

Commission and validate the compliance of a solution against its functional specifications

Implement project management tools

Report on the measures taken regarding safety and sustainable development

Technological or general or vocational baccalaureate or level IV and 3 years' professional experience.

Mixed public training, acceptance subject to validation by the host establishment

Positioning upstream of entry to the training course.

Interviews, remediation with the educational referent and/or company referent during the course.

Taking account of beneficiary satisfaction during and at the end of the training course.

Education Nationale certified teachers, Bac +3 trainers with significant experience in adult education, professional lecturers.

Assessments are organised throughout the course and at the end of the programme, in accordance with the qualification framework. Assessment tests may take the form of in-course assessments (CCF) and/or final examinations.

Support with exam preparation is provided throughout the course to help candidates succeed.

This qualification is awarded following validation by the academic examination board.

If a candidate fails the qualification, they retain credit for the modules they have passed and may retake the remaining examinations at a later date. The modules passed remain valid for 5 years
