 BAC PRO Maintenance of Connected Production Systems (MSPC)

The holder of the "Maintenance of Connected Production Systems" vocational baccalaureate is a multi-skilled professional whose main objective is to limit the breakdown rate and guarantee the availability of systems (whatever the type of fault: mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, etc.). He/she is responsible for improving production or service systems, to ensure that they perform their intended functions (output, availability, etc.) throughout their life cycle, from installation to dismantling. They use all the technological resources (connected diagnostic tools), human resources and knowledge at their disposal, in compliance with health, safety, quality and environmental protection standards.


The course is organised into several skill modules, allowing for step-by-step progression. It alternates between theoretical input, practical exercises and assessment sessions to encourage hands-on, progressive learning.

Vocational modules:

BC03 – Preparing a maintenance operation

  • Analysing the functional, structural and temporal organisation of a system
  • Identifying and characterising the energy chain
  • Identifying and characterising the information chain
  • Preparing a maintenance operation
  • Take part in the shutdown and recommissioning of the system in accordance with procedures
  • Comply with environmental standards
  • Identify and manage risks to property and people

BC04 - Preventive maintenance of a system

  • Carry out monitoring and inspection operations
  • Carry out systematic preventive maintenance operations
  • Carry out condition-based preventive maintenance operations

BC05 - Corrective maintenance of a multi-technology system

  • Diagnose faults
  • Troubleshoot and repair a component
  • Communicate and report on the work carried out in writing and/or verbally
  • Advise the system operator

BC06 - Participate in a continuous improvement project on a multi-technology system and its environment

  • Participating in improvement maintenance work on a system and its environment
  • Participating in modifications to a system and its environment
  • Participating in modernisation work on a system and its environment

Throughout the programme, learners receive personalised support with regular monitoring by the teaching team and progress reviews to tailor learning to each individual’s needs.

A work placement also enables students to develop professional skills in a real-world setting.

Skills are assessed progressively through role-plays, practical exercises, professional projects and assessments carried out throughout the course.

Our teaching methodology prioritises a practical, work-focused approach: case studies, role-plays, practical scenarios and collaborative activities enable learning in conditions that closely resemble the real-world workplace.

Maximum total duration of 3,430 hours, of which 2,200 hours on the job and 1,230 hours at the training centre.

Assessments are organised throughout the course and at the end of the programme, in accordance with the qualification framework. Assessment tests may take the form of in-course assessments (CCF) and/or final examinations.

Support with exam preparation is provided throughout the course to help candidates succeed.

This qualification is awarded following validation by the academic examination board.

If a candidate fails the qualification, they retain credit for the modules they have passed and may retake the remaining examinations at a later date. The modules passed remain valid for 5 years
